David began composing in his teens and soon commenced his tertiary studies as a composition major at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He later became interested in musicology and conducting, but continued to compose. His first commission came in 2005, writing an orchestral work to open the newly refurbished Campbelltown Arts Centre. A decade later, David is more active than ever, mainly composing for orchestra, concert band, as well as multiple recent commissions from the Australian Percussion Eisteddfod.
